Trattoria Omero
SOME HISTORICAL NOTES
Trattoria Omero was born at the end of the 19th century as a bakery, in 1943 it was bought by Omero Attucci, who transformed it into a delicatessen, and subsequently decided to expand the business by serving a few but good dishes such as penne strascicate, brain and fried chicken, which we continue to offer today while keeping the original recipes intact. Following the enormous success of its simple and genuine dishes, Omero quickly became a real Trattoria. In 1979, the place was bought by Roberto Viviani, who continued to carry on the Florentine tradition of this place until 2013. With Antonio Lex, then as now, it remains one of the historical establishments appreciated and frequented by Florentines and non-Florentines. Many famous Italian and foreign personalities from politics and entertainment have passed through here. Among these are Marcello Mastroianni, Alberto Sordi, Renzo Montagnani, Bernardo Bertolucci, Giorgio Albertazzi, Riccardo Muti, Mario Soldati, Giovanni Spadolini, Sandro Pertini. Even in recent times there have been visits from famous people, such as: Tim Burton, Billy Joel, Helena Bonham Carter, Nek, Hellen Mirren, Vittorio Feltri, Gwyneth Paltrow and many others. Trattoria Omero, icon of true Florentine cuisine, thanks you for your visit.
